Not many of the stars of the new-age entertainment brigade, would prefer to have a well pitched-up knowledge of how to ‘move it’, before making it into the competitive world of acting.

Perhaps, they never felt the need, or the situation never demanded of them to shake their leg and burn the floor.

But, actress Gabrielle Anwar had all that was needed as well as the passion to dance, along with her partner, in a London club.

Interestingly, during her interview, the actress revealed that apart from her cabaret performance on Saturday Night, dance was with her, throughout her life.

She also went to reveal that since she was enrolled into dance and drama school, it helped her a lot in choreographing the numbers of the club acts.

I guess, she would yearn for the kind of fun and excitement she had at that time, even today. And the fact that most of her teenage has passed, being surrounded by an undeniable aura of shaking it up, for the fans, I think it wouldn’t be difficult for her to take a stroll down memory lane, more often than not.

It’s true that her acting is one aspect that prompts fans to download the spy show Burn Notice; but let’s not forget that some of her ardent devotees know about her proficiency of increasing the heartbeats of all, by stepping up on the dance floor.

But there is one activity that she loves to do, apart from choreography.

Her craze for buying costumes, developed during her teenage years, when her mother would take all the pains to craft designer costumes for her. And being a daughter to a seamstress, she had also helped her mother in bringing out new found ways of putting together a couture outfit.

Gabrielle’s love for her teenage days is evident from the fact that she had something to offer to her present – the stardom.

With Burn Notice galloping well with its seasons, it won’t be an exaggeration to claim that Gabrielle is yet to achieve more milestones in her career. And it’s for sure that blissful memories of the teenage years would be with her, all along!

And it contradicts her feisty Burn Notice character, Fiona Glenanne!

The 41-year-old actor revealed her angst against violence, during one of her recent interviews. And while describing her intense hard feelings for all the gunshots and destructive explosions, she also confessed that, at times, it becomes difficult to pick any weapon.

There is a sea wide difference between her on-screen character and her real self. You would be amazed to know that Gabrielle has no weaponry knowledge. And on the other hand, her character seems to handle the sophisticated guns as skillfully as an IRA operative.

Well, it’s the effort of the prop master, which makes her look like a professional lady with a gun. And since most of the weapons used for shooting are fake replicas, when Fiona misses a target, no blood is spilled!

Anyway, it’s understood that the show runner wouldn’t take the risk of using real guns on the set. But I just wonder why it’s difficult for the star to handle the counterfeited ones.

It’s probably because she is intensely conflicted with violence. More than anything else, she is concerned about the ill effects of excessive violence on children, including her 10-year-old son.

Her revelations might appear ironical, owing to the fact that most of her fans love to download the gruesome incidents, even after witnessing Burn Notice during its telecast.

The lady in high-heels with a gun in her hand, pursuing a group of people, is indeed an appealing sight. And I am sure Gabrielle would be proud of that, despite the fact that she has all the disgust for violence. Hope she comes all guns blazing in future episodes of the show!
